The Editorial Council and Editorial Board of Asian Studies: History and Modernity adhere to generally accepted ethical principles and standards governing the publication of scholarly research.

Any violation of copyright protected under the legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as any breach of publication ethics, is unacceptable in the editorial and publishing activities of the journal.

The Editorial Council and Editorial Board make decisions based on the academic merit, professional quality, and overall standard of the submitted materials.

The journal’s editorial office ensures that submitted manuscripts are reviewed in accordance with the principles of double-blind peer review, whereby the identities of the author and the reviewer are not disclosed to each other.

The journal’s editorial policy is aimed at preventing violations of research and publication ethics. Individuals who have not contributed to the preparation of a manuscript may not be listed as authors.

The editorial office must not use any data or information obtained from submitted manuscripts, nor disclose such information to third parties, except for reviewers involved in the peer-review process, prior to publication.

The Editorial Council may edit submitted manuscripts, provided that all substantial changes affecting the content of the text are agreed upon with the author.
